rase built the IANKI app as a free app with optional in-app purchases. This Service is provided by rase and is intended for use as is.

Information Collection and Use

IANKI may collect or process certain information to provide and improve the Service.

The app may use the following types of information:

• App usage information
• Crash logs
• Device information
• Subscription status
• Images taken or selected by the user for vocabulary extraction
• Text or image content sent for AI vocabulary processing

Camera and Image Data

IANKI uses the camera only when the user chooses to scan vocabulary words.

Images captured for AI vocabulary extraction may be temporarily uploaded to Firebase Storage and sent to an AI processing service to extract vocabulary words and meanings.

These images are used only for the requested vocabulary extraction feature. They are not used to identify the user. Uploaded images may be deleted after processing, but temporary processing by third-party services may occur as part of providing the feature.

AI Processing

IANKI may send text or image content to an AI service, such as OpenAI, in order to extract vocabulary words and generate meanings.

Users should not submit sensitive personal information through the AI vocabulary extraction feature.

Third-Party Services
